WITH LOVE
Before Anatolian Grill was a shop, it was food shared around our family table.
Cooking together was always part of our family. Mum in the kitchen, me beside her, and Sundays centred around food.
The BBQ would be smoking out the backyard, with aromas drifting over the fence that probably had the neighbours wondering when their invitation was coming. There were homemade dips made by my Anneanne and Mum, the freshest salads filling our family dining table, meat cooking over the grill and everyone coming together around food.
That’s where Anatolian Grill really began.
In 2015, we took those recipes, that love of food and that feeling of feeding family and brought it to Melbourne’s north.
We never wanted to create just another kebab shop. We wanted to serve Turkish food the way we actually love to eat it. Generous, fresh, full of flavour and made properly.
What really sets Anatolian Grill apart is Mum’s own take on our house-made dips and the marinades we use across our grilled meats. They’re flavours she has worked on, refined and perfected over the years, drawing from the food we grew up eating at home. Pair that with fresh ingredients sourced locally and you get food that still carries the same flavour and care that started around our family table.
Some things have evolved over the years, but the heart of Anatolian Grill hasn’t changed.
It’s still Mum and son. It’s still family recipes. It’s still the flavours we grew up with, the food that filled our table and the belief that when you feed someone, you feed them properly.
We’re proud of our Turkish roots, proud to call Melbourne home and especially proud of the many people who have walked through our doors over the years. So many of you started as customers and, somewhere along the way, became people we now consider part of the Anatolian Grill family.
There’s no secret formula behind what we do besides fresh food prepared with love.
